This does not look as 'layered' as some others, but i do count the three separate masks, one shabby overlay, song lyrics broken into 4 verses each with its own layer, and various understated elements scattered throughout the page. =)

 

This photo of my daughter was taken before she turned one and turned out this lovely quite by accident, but it sparked off a whole series of curtain portraits through her second year, until she stopped posing there. As for the song lyrics, i loved the song before i had a daughter, i love it even more now, and i used it as the background music for the very first birthday slideshow i ever did, for my daughter's first birthday. This song means so much to me that i wanted my party guests to see the words, and so the last slide for that slideshow became the very rough prototype for this layout. And see the sheet music in the corner? That is a fragment of the actual sheet music for this song.
