Unexpected Beauty

supplies in exif - the flowers on this LO are all pretty tiny (other than the sunflower, which is still the small "weed" variety). The flower with the ant on it shows some perspective since the ant is a tiny fire ant. I have no idea what their proper names are, but the one with the ant is the bloom on a plant called "man in the boat" or "Wandering Jew"; the puffball looking flower is a tiny pom-pom about the diameter of a quarter. I really liked how the tips of the petals came out - reminds me of fireworks. LOL The yellow blooms are the clustered flowers of a yellow "lantana?" plant. I liked how nice the bee came out on the sunflower. Fun challenge!

Wow! This is gorgeous, Jenna! I LOVE the blended photo and all the lovely pics you included. Green, purple and yellow are delightful together and really speak of spring. Wonderful LO!

Beautiful combination of yellow and purple flowers, and I really like the background paper, too. Yes, the little yellow cluster is a lantana, and another name for the three-petaled purple plant is Tradescantia. I don't recognize the pom-pom, but it's delightful! Great layout, Jenna.

Simply gorgeous. Love the background paper and those photos of the pretty flowers. I think the purple pom-pom plant is called Allium, or it could be a Thistle. Not sure of either.

The bee blends in so well with the sunflower, that I had to look real close to see him. Love your page.

Jenna, wonderful photos. You were able to get such great detail on such tiny flowers. I like your arrangement of the big photo on top of the blended photo.
