The rusty truck outside Menard's may have been an eyesore for some, but it was a wonderful source of grungy backgrounds for me.

Awesome! I love it. I love it close up and I love it from afar. Actually, from afar it brought to mind a beautiful set of nestled Caribbean Islands with the wonderful blues, aquas and violets as the water depth and the browns and rust as land. Close up it is also so awesome with the beautiful texture and perfectly placed flowers and hearts. Definitely one of my favorites. I am so inspired.

When I saw this in the gallery I also thought it was a photo of an island. An arty looking page - well done.

This is wonderful and me too - thought it was a pretty island photo at first. Love the grungy pieces you created from a piece of rust and how creatively you put them together into such a lovely page. I also really like your title and enjoyed your journaling. Really such an "artsy" looking page! :)

Deliberate or not, it's a great island! This is a wonderful mix of color and texture, and the design is very cool also. I like the mix of fonts. Thanks for joining in this week's Friday Customer Submitted Challenge!

lol From the thumbnail, my first thought was an island/treasure map. I thought the heart and blue flower were a compass rose. :)

Anyway...it's beautiful and a creative use of a rusty truck!

How fun! When I was making this page, I just liked the cool patterns the rust made on the two photos I took. I didn't intentionally make the layout look like an island, even though almost everyone who sees it thinks it does. It must just be genius at work.

What a great interpretation of the challenge. Love the abstract arty look of your LO. Wonderful color and love your proverb with this.

What wonderful creativity - you saw beauty where many would see slow decay, and most of us saw a map, at least at first. Perfect choice of title, too.
