Sextet of Damselflies (5/14 Flying things challenge)

Another page of things that fly - even when mating. I based the LO on a file I saved a while ago, credited to GardenGirl, but I have no further information, and couldn't find the page in the gallery, although the photo in it is dated 08/2011. If anyone knows who the designer is, please let me know.

Edit: found the link from today's posted LOs - I'd recorded the user name without the space. LO here Thanks for the inspiration!

DH took the picture of the damselflies (and many others - they were buzzing and zinging and hovering all over the pond), and I took the background photo. I wanted to soften it a bit, so the damselfly photo would stand out. After trying several techniques, I settled on a reduced opacity sketch, made by applying Brandy Murry's Ultimate Artist, overlaying the original photo. TFL!

This is beautiful. The background photo is lovely but the damselflies photo is really pretty and interesting. Love the colors and the design. Your title is just perfect for the layout.

What a great title! very clever. Great photo to have captured. All the greens of the page helps make that shiny colours of the dragonfly stand out.

Those photos are wonderful. I have never heard of 'damselflies' before, but I will check them out. Great page and I really like the shades of green in the layout and the photos.

Wow love this - your hubby sure does some great nature photography ... good thing he has a scrapper in the family to help exhibit them. I like the faded back ground. This is nicely done!

Wow - amazing photo! I love how you've presented it with the larger background photo. I see the inspiration from Garden Girl's lovely layout, yet you've given this one a different mood and it's absolutely beautiful. I like the green border, too.

What a great job capturing all those damselflies at once! I like how you used the landscape shot as the background for your closeup. The grass, background paper, and frame fit really well with your photos.
