Wasn't sure which gallery to choose to post this, LOL. Anyway, back in 2002 I went crazy making ring bearer pillows. Several are "missing" now (I have a sister who is the opposite of a hoarder) and many were used by nieces for their weddings. Funny thing was that all the nieces chose the very plain pillows, basically a satin pillow with a simple knot, a pair of rings (always in silver vs. gold!) The more embellished pillows were "rejected." I had a really pretty pillow with a machine embroidered, lacy heart in the center, with three little forget me knots and a pair of rings. Plain and embellished at the same time. Each bride chose it initially, then switched to a plain pillow by the time of the wedding. Kind of fun to watch...they wanted a little fancy, but in the end went plain. (It's one of the MIA pillows...if I ever get it back I'll do a LO on it.) Now these, and others, are off to the auction tomorrow.

Journaling: When Tricia began planning her 2002 wedding I relaxed by sewing ring bearer pillows from which she could choose. They were so much fun to make and eventually I wound up with twenty pillows! Each of my nieces chose a pillow as they planned their weddings since that time, and now I have donated the remaining pillows to an auction to benefit an Amish Clinic for Bone Marrow Research. These are a few of the “rejects.”

TFL!

Oh, Dot, what a lovely layout, beautiful photos and gorgeous pillows! I love your gorgeous creations - and all so different and enjoyed reading your notes and journaling. I also really like how you framed the pics and the fancy lace you placed behind them. Wonderful page! :)

The pillows you made are so beautiful, how lucky your family is to have you to custom make them. I like the polariod frames around them and the pretty lace background complimenting their daintiness. I am sure they will do very well at the auction.
