Re-JUNE-venate Layout 1

I love wandering through model homes and former homes of the rich and famous. Whenever there is a home open to the public for charity purposes, I'm right there buying a ticket. I don't want to think I'm nosy -- maybe I just have a strong nesting instinct?

Here are some photos of the interior of Ca' D'Zan, (Which means "House of John" in the Venetian dialect), former home of John and Mable Ringling. We toured it last month. Needless to say, I had a blast. Info is in the exif. TFL!

Journaling reads: "I love homes, architecture, and seeing how people live. This home is not typical! Ca’ d‘Zan is a Venetian Gothic mansion built by John and Maple Ringling. Containing 56 rooms, it has been described as “the last of the Gilded Age mansions” to be built in America. I snapped as many photos as I could during our tour, and these give a taste of the architectural details of the interior. They are a window with original glass (you can see the terrace and bay outside), a gilded interior door, and just two of the many hand-painted ceiling squares that show dancers from dozens of countries."

Oh, wow, this is wonderful. That is my idea of a fun day, too! I love the bg you chose for the gilded elements of the photos.I like the fancy tag for the journaling, since these photos definitely need fancy! Cool title work, too!

Lovely LO. I've seen all those gilded circus wagons in Baraboo, WI (Ringling Bros. winter home) but I didn't know they decorated their home like that. Very interesting.

This must have been such a great time. I love looking through homes too (great career choice for me :) ) and this one looks wonderful. 56 Rooms, oh my gosh. Those ceiling squares must have been amazing. The glass to the terrace doors looks multi-colored. How lovely. Love your design, fun Alpha characters and journaling paper.
