Friday Customer Submitted Challenge 6-8-12 -- Change of Season

Here's my LO for the Challenge Jaymee (luckyladybug) submitted: Scrap the change of Season in your part of the world.

My page is about Break Up, when the ice on the Bering Sea finally cracks and moves out/melts away. It's a big deal as we've had 5 months of solid ice covering our beautiful Sea. So this is my tribute to Break Up. I didn't show all the mud that comes to our town (we only have a few paved roads). That's fodder for another LO, I believe.

I can't wait to see what you have come up with too.

Simply beautiful, Debbie - love the shades of blue and khaki (?) you've used that compliment those gorgeous photos so well! LOVE your big title - very interesting to see and read about the ice break up!
Absolutely stunning! At first I thought I was looking at white sandy beaches and a warm azure sea :hit-head-with-hammer: What an incredible place to live.
Gorgeous page, Debbie. I enjoyed your interesting and heartfelt journaling and looking through your stunning photos. WOW... What an interesting time of year in Alaska! I really like the soft colors you used and the strips of paper to mimic the lines of the sea and sand. Wonderful layout! :)
This is beautiful. What a beautiful part of the world you live in. I enjoyed reading your journaling and great work on the title. I like you choice of colours and papers you have used on this.
oh wowie!!! I had to read and reread and look and relook... I thought you meant school holidays!!! And I was confused... I simply cannot imagine the sights you have presented here... completely frozen? Unbelievable... I have only seen pictures like that on docos about eskimos.. Your photos are just amazing and I kept looking at them trying to imagine where the mud comes from and admiring the colours and all that ice! Just amazing... I like your colour scheme, it is very restful, I went back and looked for the 5 things you love... definitely a treat for the senses! Also thought, maybe you could post this for Pat's Thurs challenge too about lines! Love this, into my favourites :-)
The colors you've used, beige, tan and baby blue, are my favorites, too. Stunning view of the break up. I think it must take special people to love living in Alaska, but your photos and journaling make it more understandable. (Brrr, pass my parka!) The title strip is great - very, attractive page.
Beautiful page Debbie! I just love the colors and the soft patterns in your background papers. Wonderful journaling too.
Debbie this page is SO beautiful! I love the colors and your journaling! This is going to be one of my favorites!
Debbie, this is just beautiful. I love the papers and the blue and brown colors that you used. Those photos are incredible. It must be some sight to see that ice break up. I've only seen it in pictures and videos, never close up like you've seen it. Awesome!
This is absolutely gorgeous! I watched "Frozen Planet" on the Discovery channel and it talked all about the Break Up. I can imagine how happy you must be when it happens! Beautiful photos and LO. I have always loved blues and browns. Simply breathtaking!
