Monday Challenge

The most recent photos from my point and shoot camera of my DGS. It seems that no matter what name you give a child, it will always be shortened, lenghtened or in some way "mangeld" to produce a nickname or term of endearment. DGS is known as Ro-bug. Now he lives up to his name by hunting out tiny creatures that I struggle to see! TFL

I love this layout! He's adorable, even in the dirt looking for bugs and worms and stuff like that. I just love how you've embellished this, especially the swirls. I can just picture those insects flying about the page.

I agree about names. The shortening, mangly thing that amuses me the most is how we take away the "ee" sound at the end of names that have it (Zoe becomes Zo, Jody becomes Jode), and how we ADD an "ee" sound to one-syllable names that don't have it. (Dave becomes Davey; Joe becomes Joey). Food for thought. ;)

He is really enojoying his time looking for those interesting bugs. My little guys are the same and I am super squeamish so little presents for me are usually met with a shreak. Love how you placed all the little bees and lady bugs around and the layout. Very sweet.

What a darling layout! I love your journaling and that's a wonderful photo. The little birdies and bugs are the perfect touch.

What an adorable layout and the photo of your DGS is precious. I have two little grandsons that are equally fascinated with bugs of all kinds. I'm putting your layout in my favorites to scraplift, if you don't mind. I have several "buggy" photos that are just waiting to be placed on a page such as this one.

Don't know why I missed this first time around. I can see why it was chosen as a NL winner. Love the word art and all the bugs. What perfect play for Rowan - and not one battery was used!
