Deadwood is a restored, old western town in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It was a gold rush town with quite a rowdy reputation. After fighting for the Union Army, working as a lawman, and earning a living as a gambler, Wild Bill Hickok arrived there in 1876. He was only there about six weeks when he was shot dead during a card game by Jack McCall. We really enjoyed seeing a reinactment and hearing about the murder in the Number 10 saloon where the card game and killing actually happened.
