Aunt Martha

I think I've used some of the colors. This is my Aunt, who is 92 and confined to a nursing home. She was always so cheerful, and a hard worker. She became a Beautician back in the early days, and survived and took care of two husbands. She was there for everyone in the family and friends, too. Unfortunately, most of her 9 sisters and brothers are gone on now, and she is ready to go. I live so far from (in Texas) that I don't get to see her much. I send cards, and call, but she doesn't have a phone available to her. One of the cousins checks on her for us.

Thanks for looking.

Lovely page. I like the picture in the book and all the pretty feminine embellishments. It's so hard watching strong, vibrant people become frail. She must know how much you care for her.

Jean, I think this is a stunning page. I love the color of the ribbon. It really goes well with the overall color of the layout. Beautiful clusters and lovely journaling.

This is really beautiful - such nice soft "heritage" touches. Your aunt sounds like a wonderful woman. It is so hard when they start to become frail, especially when they're a distance away. I like the design, with the "cluster" of elements in the middle. You've definitely used enough colors from the challenge to count. :) Thanks for participating in the Saturday Color Challenge!

Beautiful tribute to a wonderful woman. The photo of your Aunt is beautiful and I know you must miss her terribly. I love the clusters, especially the feather cluster and how you placed your Aunt's photo in the book and the purple ribbon wrapped around that beautiful pin.

So sorry to hear of your loss Jean she sounds like a terrific lady, a real trooper. This would be a wonderful page to share with family and friends at this time. x
