Task 19 -- Heron In The Pond
The photo of the Heron is one that I took a year or so ago while walking around the parkway. I just happened to turn around and I noticed off in the distance this bird just standing in the water. He or she was in shadow, but I thought it would make a great photo. I didn't want to get too close, as I was afraid that the bird would take off. I zoomed in with my camera as far as it would zoom and this is the photo that I came up with.

The background paper is the one that I created using SS Paper Templates to Create Unique Background Paper from the June 22nd Newsletter. Yikes! What a chore that was. That was for Task #18.

Nice choice of embellishments and I love all the green. Wish we had some here, we're having quit a long period of drought.

Wow, Carol - but your chore was well worth it as what a gorgeous paper you created and how perfectly it goes with your pic. Your photo is spectacular -wow, what a shot you were able to catch! I love the shadows and the almost silhouette of the bird - just lovely with the bits of soft green in the background. Also really like how you framed and cropped the pic and the great embellishments you used. Wonderful layout! :)

Carol, I think we all struggle with paper templates and actions when we start using them...it's not like we're in a class with a teacher standing right there at our shoulder with knowledge of the particular software we're using (wouldn't that be awesome?). But I'm glad you stuck in there, because this layout is beautiful! If love the nice lush greens that you chose and everthing coordinates so well with your subject. Lovely!

My goodness, Carol, this is impressive! I love the photo, of course :D ; you really got a good picture. Your background paper is amazing! Wow. I'm going to have to re-read that tutorial! I also love the shape of your frame. Cute frog embellie, too.

Yeah, Carol! You did good with this background. Such a pretty color & it looks great with your heron photo. Good job with that, too - for such large birds, they sure spook easily.

Wow, it turned out sensational! I hope you think it was worth the effort. I sure do! Love that wonderful photo. (Two great heron LOs today- wow!) The bg looks fantastic. I was pulled right into the scene and interested to see all of it. Nice touch with the 3D embellies of flowers and frog. Super page, Carol!

I love the bg paper you've created and it's cool watery feel. It took me a while to see the frog hiding in there among the reeds. Herons always look so elegant from a distance but the few I've seen at close quaters always look so scruffy!
