SS Club June -- Cousins

I recently came across this photo of DH with his cousins and had to scrap it. We only have a few photos of him as a child, so I treasure this one.

I love working with this month's Club and especially enjoy the wonderful fabric and metal textures in the papers. I used a bunch of them here. :) I also had fun with the dynamic brushes in the Club. This design reminded me of the old Pop-it beads we had as kids, so I gave them a glossy look. Info is in the exif. Thanks for looking!

Great layout! I absolutely LOVE the way you made the necklace to look like the pop beads! Great colors for the photo and such an adorable photo! I really like the way you framed the photo too! Well done!

This is so lovely. The color pallet is great and the photo is a treasure. Great job on the pop beads and the beautiful coloring of the papers. Love all the metals in the photo frame and the layout background. Beautifully done.

Now that you mention it I remember the pop-it beads and had fun with them. I think that is awesome that you made your husband this wonderful LO of his childhood with his cousins--I was guessing the 50's when I saw it. (of course the B&W pictures and the kids looked so thin back then)

Beautful page! I love your sweet photo and I really like how you framed it. Also really like how you colored your background pieces and put them together so creatively. The colors you used are wonderful and I like the fancy corners, too. :)

Sooo lovely. Your colors are wonderful. Love the beads. I, too, remember these. Sometimes they were confiscated during school because the sound of all the girls popping their beads was more than our teacher could bear.

That photo sure is a treasure. I love the corners and the pretty bg papers. The 'beads' look real. Lovely layout.
