July ATC_Fond Memory_Chicken Pluckin

I now have my mother's photo albums in my possession and was so thrilled when I discovered this photo. I remember this happening often. Dad would kill the chicken and I remember it sometimes running around without its head. Then we would all pull up our seats and watch him pluck it - in my memory I can still smell the smell of the wet chicken as I think he would dip it in warm water to help make the plucking easier. I also remember as shown in the photo our dog hanging around to see if he could get anything. My older sister is not there because I don't think she enjoyed these sort of events. I am the curly haired one on the far left.

Wow, that's a special photo of an interesting memory Anne-Marie and how lovely to see you so young! Great scrapping and ATC. :)

I remember being at Grandmother's house - the smell of wet feathers in the steaming water. Your card conjures up feelings of nostalgia for me (because I only saw this happen twice and was not part of my daily life!-lol.) Love the photo and all the chicken wire, chicken and axe.

Wow - what a wonderful photo! I love the way you've scrapped it - the wire, the axe, and, of course, the chicken. All with that great rustic background. This is priceless.

Oh, yes, I do remember those chicken plucking days..and the wonderful chicken and dumplings that followed. Love this card, looking forward to having it in my collection.

Gratefully I don't have those memories, mine were dealing with my Grandfather raising and killing the rabbits. Still can't eat them to this day. I'm with your sister. But the card is great and so is that photo. Love the elements that you used.
