HNC July 11 Textures

When I wandered a nearby botanical garden, I got fascinated by the different textures: mostly the variety of leaves, but also roots, and even the rough textured stone wall. These are just a few of the photos I snapped because I liked their textures. Info is in the exif. Thanks for looking!

Your photos are perfect for this challenge! I like how you featured each one with a border and an element, but let them still be the highlights of the page. The background is full of great texture, too, and the colors you picked accent your pictures really well. I especially like the pops of orange.
Super page Diane and your texture photos are amazing and so colorful. I like how you framed and arranged them and how you "tacked" them with flowers so creatively. Also really like the background you put together and the colors you used. Wonderful page. :)
This is neat. I always take photos of textures and then don't know what to do with them. The orange really sets off your photos & I like that green background.
Lovely LO and I envy you being around all that tropical lushness. We haven't had rain for over a month and everything is brown. I like all the texture and the unexpected pops of color. I'm with AggieB, I take the texture shots and then don't do anything with them. I should get them all together in a folder.
Such a great blend of color and spacing.
And if we could post pictures of palm trees in our garden I'd be very very happy!
Wonderful photos, I too like how the orange really sets the photos off.
Yep, I like the orange too! Great shots, I wondered what the light green background was until I read your note!! Is that top one a Moreton Bay fig tree?? Looks like the spaghetti tangle of roots... I like all the different greens and the way you randomly arranged the pics... wonderful page :-)
Wow - your photos are so fascinating. Love the roots - never seen any quite like that. I agree with all the above - the shots of orange really punch up the page. Great page.
now I know what you meant by the comment of having "textures in your photos" during chat. very cool indeed.
