Plum Jam

This jam really turned out great...so good that my husband actually pruned the tree to get a better yield! How he's going to keep the racoons out of the tree, I don't know! LOL!

I'm big into home preserving so this layout just makes me plain happy! We do autumn berry jam using the autumn berries that grow wild all over our church property. YUMMMMM

Ohhhh - this is a delicious page. Love the blended picture of hubby bearing fruit, with the bright jam photos on top. Those fruits really are small - glad your perseverance paid off.

Lovely layout, and the jam sounds luscious - I love the jewel tones of fruit jams and jellies. I really like the frames and string wraps on your photos.

Your journaling brought back memories. Years ago, sometime in the mid-70's - a friend and I picked hips from beach roses in New Hampshire to make freezer jam. You don't quite pit rose hips - you peel and cut and scoop out the seeds - a very tedious process. But the fruit was free, and the jam was wonderful!

I love the blending and the photos. We love making marmelade and chili chutney so I was very interested to see you layout.

What a wonderful story - well done! I really like the blended photo and all the bakers twine on the supporting photos.

Have you ever made violet jelly? A friend of mine makes it every year and it is truly beautiful in the jars:) Give it a whirl if you haven't!
