Th 7/19 - New Discoveries in Alaska
Shortly after earning her Ph.D. in environmental chemistry, my niece Sarah spent three weeks doing field work at Toolik Lake, Alaska. As she traveled by ten-seater plane and Dalton Highway shuttle, she discovered much spectacular scenery. These are some of Sarah's photos from various parts of Alaska. On the left is one of the rainbows she saw. Along with all this glorious scenery, what else will she discover in Alaska, especially through her research?

Those photos are wonderful... I love that rainbow one! Down low like that over the highway really gives a sense of the height of the mountains in this remote area... Love the photo of the plane and the runway and those Midnight Sun photos are incredible... bet those sights were breathtaking... I like the way you displayed so many on your template and the rounded edges, the wood is a perfect choice for the background and I love that dark border! The little chemistry embellishments are great too.

Oh my gosh - this is gorgeous! What a wonderful memento you have created for your niece. Your template is so perfect and lovely - I was going to see what it was when I read you MADE it? Great job and perfect for this page. The photos are stunning and you showcased them so well in the wooden framed collage. I really like your embellishments too - oh wow! What a wonderful gift to receive of a specatacualar experience. Great work!

It's a great template - lets you show off so many of your niece's wonderful photos. I like your rustic wood background - nice touch for an Alaska layout.

Wow! Wonderful photos from Sarah, and wonderful template by you! I like your mix of squares and rectangles, and the way the rainbow photo is spread over several photo blocks. Your borders, backgrounds and shadows pull the eye right into the pictures. Great job!

Congratulations to your neice for picking such an interesting career. I really like your placement of the photos in your template especially the focal point of the mountain an rainbow. Perfect embellishments too. What a wonderful gift for your neice, plus you had such fun making it. Great job!
