I've been stuck on this for a while. I'm using a layout template. I can't decide if I want a dark background or a light one... which will make the photo pop more?? And what kind of embellishments should I add, if any? I just have scrappers block :hit-head-with-hammer:

I think this is striking. The only thing I might add as a comment is that I cannot read the journaling. Try a strip of the orange paper (the same that you used behind the word relax) behind the journaling and see if that might give it a little more prominence? Because you cannot use a shadow against the black background how about placing a fine black stroke just inside the blue backdrop. That might give it a little more finished look. (If you don't know how to do that, just e-mail me) I love the simplicity so I don't think you need to add any more embellishments. The photograph is outstanding and you have really done a great job of showcasing it. So there you have my two cents worth!
