Today's challenge is to use metals/metallics in your layout! When I was looking through my metal stash, train tracks kept popping into my head. One of my favorite parts of the St. Louis Zoo is the train, so I used pics from various visits. The picture on the background of the layout is a large metal animal sculpture that sits outside the Zoo.
(Just a sidenote: In the picture of Tracy on the far right... yes, she IS wearing clothing. When I took the photo, the strap of her tank top had slid down her arm and I didn't notice it until we got home. So don't worry, there were no naked children on the train.)
Journaling:
No trip to the St. Louis Zoo is complete without a ride on the Zooline Railroad! Our family’s tradition is always to save the train ride for the end of our Zoo visit, when we are all tired of walking. From the comfort of the open-air train, we take in the final sights of the Zoo as we make our way around the 1.5 mile loop: overlooking the tigers in Big Cat Country, checking out the elephants in River’s Edge, riding through the restricted back areas, and waving at the other Zoo visitors. And don’t forget the tunnels, where the aunts love to make spooky noises in an attempt to scare us, no matter how old we get!!
