Friday 17th - Customer Challenge - Parterre Garden

This is a garden within the Botanical Gardens of my town's central park. The person in the photo on bottom left is my sister taking the same photo as I took in the larger photo. We had a picnic in this park last Saturday ( 18th ) in memory of my mother as that day would have been her 88th Birthday. We did this because when we were children we often celebrated our mother's birthday with a picnic in the park even though often it would be very cold being the end of winter here. And it was cold on Saturday.

 

I chose to use this page for this challenge as it shows what is blooming right now... just all greenery ready for spring... around the statue will be a bed of colourful flowers by next month. There are some flowers already appearing as our days are getting a little warmer.

Ann Marie, this is beautiful. I love your photos of that gorgeous garden. I love the squares you used on the background. They go so well with the pathway pattern in the photos. What a nice memory of your Mom and how sweet for you gals to celebrate her birthday like this. Just beautiful. Aren't Botanical Gardens one of the best places to visit?
