HNC-Aug 29 Photo Manipulations

I overlayed Kim Meeder's Lemoncake paper (from the Piece of Cake collection) at about an 85% opacity onto my photo of Vista House to give the photo an old-fashioned post card look. For the background view of the Columbia River Gorge, I used a hard light blend at about 75% opacity over the Parchment paper from Kerry Veale's Time Traveler collection. I was hoping to give the page an old-time look. Other info is in the exif. Thanks for looking!

Wonderful page Diane. You did a fantastic job with the manipulation of the photo! I love the post card journaling and great embellishment clusters too. I love it all!

Beautiful! The view there is spectacular. I like how you used the old postcards for your journaling and thanks for sharing how you got that neat effect with your photo.

Neat layout, Dot. The photo really does look like an old postcard. How clever to put your journaling on the back of another one.

Gorgeous! I love what your did with your photo; it really makes it stand out. The title is lovely, especially in two colors. The postcards with journaling and address are a wonderful touch!

What a beautiful place and the work you did with the photo does make it look weathered and post-cardish. Great work with the background photo too and great border paper too. The post cards are a great touch especially for your journaling and I really like the addition of your date plaque. Beautiful view!

Wow, you definitely achieved your goal. The postcard/photo looks like an old postcard!! Wonderful! I really like the journaling on the old postcard, too. I do love postcards and wish they were still popular (we always send them to our older relatives when we travel.)The bg turned out great with the blend. I like your grunged bg picture, too. The ferns are a great touch! Lovely work and TFS your technique!

Beautiful layout! You did a great job with the postcard. It definitely looks old-fashioned as does the rest of the page! Love the background photo of the view as well as the smaller one of the Vista House....and that border looks fantastic!
