Aug 29 - HNC - Photo Manipulation

I scanned and worked on this photo the other day, it is of Lanikai Beach, Ohau, Hawaii. I took it I think early in the morning and the lighting in the photo is not very good on the original. After scanning it was worlds worse with lines appearing in a few places and mostly looking like a shades of gray picture. I added a bunch of photo filters and masks to bring out the aqua in the water that really was there and the color, light and dimension of the clouds and sun rays. Holding the original next to the computer there is a definite resemblance and it is about as close as I can get to it. Looks like I'll have to go back one day and take a few more photos!

Lanikai Beach translates to Heavenly Beach in Hawaiian. It was my first day there and I walked the beach alone that day really feeling like I was at a very special place.

You did a marvelous job on the photo! But, yes, I agree that you should probably go back and take another picture, too, just for comparison. :D I like rainbow blending into the background; it looks great with the light rays in the photo. Lovely tropical embellies, too.

Wow, your photo work is just wonderful and your photo aomost magical! I love the glow of sunlight through the clouds and I really like the almost rainbow effect in the water. I also really like the rainbow blended into your pretty background and your pretty flower embellishment cluster. Lovely, lovely page! :)
