Thurs 9-6 Peaceful Challenge

I'm trying to get caught up on challenges, and this is one I didn't want to miss. This bird was in our yard about a week ago. He just stood there calmly letting the breeze slightly ruffle his feathers. I haven't looked him up in my bird book yet, but if anyone recognizes him, please let me know.

Oh wow!!! Diane this is breathtaking! Your colours are so clear and beautiful and ever so peaceful and serene... how amazing to have that mystery bird in your yard and how polite of him to pose like that... your blending is just gorgeous as always and I love how you embellished so subtly... it lets the grace and beauty of nature shine through. Stunning.

Beautiful photo, like Linda said I think it's a heron, looks very similar to the heron that flies over us everyday. I love your background and simple cluster.

Oh, my Diane this is absolutely stunning! I always adore your bird layout but you have far outdone yourself. Gorgeous blending and photo and outstanding use of embellishments and paper. Such a lovely peaceful scene you have created and found the perfect quote to go with it. I agree with TeeCee - this should be framed and on a wall......... I'm running out of words - but I LOVE this page! Great work. :)

Yes, we have a Blue Heron that visits our dock quite often. It's the lighting on this layout that is so fascinating. It's so subtle and yet provides the heron with the definition that gives him such a majestic stature. So simple, so elegant, so perfect.

He looks like a Blue Heron to me too. It is great that he let you get close enough to photograph. I see these guys at the park sometimes and they are so easily spooked. I love his contemplative look across the water and how beautifully you've blended the background papers and worked with the light. Really like the border too! Beautifully done and would be lovely hung on your wall.

Just gorgeous . . . and yes, extremely peaceful. Wonderful blending and choice of papers, with just the touch of emb's. This should hang on a wall.

He's a beauty, and so is your LO! Gorgeous. Serene colors set your mood, lovely blending to highlight the bird and wonderful choice of quote. Fantastic work on the ribbon and shadow! Beautifully composed and designed page, Diane!! Congrats on your well deserved LO of the Week win!

Love this LO....I keep going back to look! The heron stands out so prominently on the page among the beautiful blending. The quote is perfect--reminds me of "my" heron that lived outside my front door on the lake--enjoyed watching him stand so perfectly still. I could hang this LO in my home! Beautiful job (as always).

Belated congrats on being featured in the NL!!!!
