When I think of what I have inherited, one of the first things that comes to mind is the love of trees, birds and nature in general that I believe I inherited from my father. I can remember him taking me for walks in the woods near my grandmother's home and he would be pointing out different types of trees and telling me all about how to tell the difference between them and how to tell the difference from their leaves. I know I inherited his love of birds too. He always enjoyed hearing them chirp and watching them fly and play. Like him, I love hearing them (especially early in the morning) and I love seeing them flying and fluttering around our back yard. Very often I will just look at a tree or a bird and instantly be reminded of my father and those wonderful walks.

what a pretty card! I love how it illustrates your love of nature. I especially like the bird flying around the tree -- and the musical notes in the corner are inspired embellishment. Beautiful!
Also, what a great "inheritance" your father gave to you. He sounds like a wonderful man.

I love this. It seems to me to simultaneously convey peacefulness with the soft blue and bird in flight and vibrancy in the color of the tree, leaves, background and birds. The color play really keeps me looking all around the card. What a beautiful life-long inheritance.
