Sept 2012 ATC Inheritance

After my mother passed on, I found a box full of old greeting cards that she had received and kept. Most of them date from the 40's and 50's. I love their nostalgic look and am impressed by the beautiful art inside the cards, as well. The two smaller pictures show the inside of this card, while the large photo shows the front.

The greeting reads: "This greeting for your special day Is warm with thoughts of you, And in between each line I've tucked Some favorite memories, too! And you'll be started on a year, That's bright in every way, If all the wishes I have made Come true for you today!"

Gorgeous ATC Diane! I can't believe how beautifully the background matches. I really enjoyed reading your story behind it too!

Oh, this is lovely Diane. What a treasure you inherited from your Mom - not just a box of saved greeting card - but the knowledge that they were important enough to her to save. I love how you showed the inside and outside of the card and the beautiful background you used. But, I especially like that you considered the cards a special inheritance along with all you learned from your mom. How wonderful! :)

Beautiful Diane. I love the colors on the card and the verse is beautiful. What pretty flowers and that little bit of lace peeking out at the bottom.

What a treasure! And your card shows it so beautifully. I've got to get busy and get a card done so I can have all of these beauties. LOVE it!!

These roses are nearly as beautiful as your photographed ones. The card is lovely and amazing that the inside is so artful too. Beautifully done.
