Dregerhafen: Week 2

This is another layout that I will slightly re-work to go into my mothers album.

My list is: Palm trees; Tropical sunsets,Picnics at the beach, Swimming every day; Suspension footbridge, River swimming holes; One teacher school, Lush vegetation; Seahorses

The journalling reads:

When Dad was appointed headmaster of the high school at Dregerhafen, the Education Department built us a new house. It was located on a point surrounded three sides by the ocean. At first the war time US Officers mess was in front of our house but shortly after we arrived, that was pulled down and the view from the front of the house was overlooking the vines and creepers climbing over the foundations of the mess towards the waves breaking on the shore of our front yard and the little island beyond. Dad took this 1965 photo of my sister and I coming out of the water in response to Mum calling from the house to come in for lunch.

The colors you used are gorgeous! They compliment the photo nicely. Love the "wavey" journaling -- and the red flowers make the page POP! Great LO

Wonderful photo and journalling. I love the template with the circles and ribbons. I love what you did to your journalling list, very clever.

What a marvelous place that must have been. I love your tropical flowers and the subtle sea horse. Lovely colors, too that evoke an older time. Putting the journaling into a wavy shape was inspired! Sensational layout!

Love your choice of fasteners and the way you placed the picture over the ribbon. The choice of colors really gives the layout the perfect feel for the age of the photo.

I love that you used list journaling and told the story, too! I like the way the list looks like it's got a wave to it. Wonderful job on the challenge and this will make a wonderful addition to your project!

I like the way you pulled the teal out of the swimsuits and matched it with your embellishments. I also like that you did the list but gave further information with your journaling. Wonderful layout.
