I'm moving some of my layouts over from the brush class. This is a layout of my dad. I used a number of techniques to get the end result, which I'm pretty happy with. I have a theme (my dad), repetition (the hats), color harmony, balance (I think) and texture.

Background papers from LieFhung Winter Blues overlaid with Linda Sattgast paper and then spot erased to "grunge" it up. Frame from Rusty Pumpkin kit by Julie Mead with a hue/sat adjustment. Fonts are Parisian, Vivaldi, Violation and Tribune. All photos were desaturated and then filter added to give them a sepia like tone to coordinate with the background paper. The word art I created myself. The large photo of my dad has a mask to "soft erase" the edge to stay with the grungy look, which was chosen to go with his younger "rebel days" photos.
