This is the spaceship Endeavor as it flew on a 747 over the capitol building in Austin, TX 9-20-12 on it's last flight before retirement. These photos were taken by a friend of mine who works 2 blocks from the capitol, she was standing on the balcony and said it was so close you felt like you could touch. Awesome experience.

Oh my gosh, this is wonderful!!! History in the making, and a great page to showcase it! I love the photo in the backgroud, of the shuttle lifting off. It's just perfect.
