This one was a bit of a challenge. The photos of the team I was with when we went down to Christchurch after the feb.2011 earthquake. I volunteered to help the Salvation Army who were doing an amazing job down there.

I used:

1.3 photos.

2.changed one to B&W but left the Salvation Army vests and logo in colour

3.BG Papers (made using a template)- ABL_IndustrialStrength, BMU_SSPaper_TornPaper, BHA_SSPaper_CityScape the other paper was BHA_CitySlickNano_Paper_brokenGlass

4. 3x embellishments repeating 3 or more times- BMU_JunkTrunk (tyres,springs,chains and arrows) JHI_OldPhotoFrames

5. Brushwork BMU_BrushSet_JunkTrunk and AFT_BrushSet_MixedYears

6. added my title and shadows

Great idea to combine City Slicker with Broken Glass! Turned out great! Everything balances so well. Like the photos "stapled" to each other as well! Honorable that you joined the cause with the Salvation Army amidst that tragedy. This is a great "service" page!

Great job on this. I really like your title and the way you colorized just the vests in the top photo. It caught my attention immediately and put the focus on the volunteerism. Thank you for your service too.

The distresseed look of the page really adds to the feel of what you are documenting. I can see where you might have been challenged by this week's requirements - there's nowhere to " loose" a few flowers in this page lol. What a wonderful thing for you to have done - I'm sure your team and those you helped were grateful for your presence there.

Quite a scary time for everybody. Very clever layout. I love the broken glass and brick wall. Wonderful background for the photos.

I love how you left the vests colored in the b&w...really makes that color pop off the page and lets it tie the other photos together.

What a wonderful legacy page to leave for your family! You really captured the feel of the aftermath and congrats on your helping role in that dreadful event. I've been in several quakes, having lived in the San Francisco area for many years, but none were as devastating as the one in NZ.

The technique on the big picture is perfect and the small green touch in the title to match is perfect! You really did an outstanding job on the embellishments and background for these pictures and your story.
