August ATC Hybrid - " Sweet Stuff"

Being busy with my Mom's broken hip recently I never got to post my August Hybrid ATC. The theme was "Sweet Stuff" so for the front I chose a photo of one of my watercolor paintings. Our class project was painting fruit on a fancy plate and napkin. I chose strawberries, a special tea plate with hearts and a napkin with a lacy heart design.

For the hybrid part - on the front, I pasted a copy of the painting onto my background, adding a paper doily and red ribbon behind, then a blue diamond bling and paper paintbrush on top.

For the back of the card I used a photo of myself that my teacher took while I was actually painting the strawberries and blended it into a background.

For the digital part of the ATC I used:

BMU SS Tools - Actions: Color isolation

KSC Oriental Collection Mini

SNU Brush set: Painted brush

STI Fall Watercolors Collection

For this layout I also used:

ACA Iridescence Collection Biggie

DEB Mixed Media Collection

Marilyn, this is such a pretty ATC! I love that you've used one of your very own paintings on your ATC - what a special ATC to be treasured by all who receive it! I love the pretty little doily and the bling is the perfect touch! I can see that you put many hours of work into your ATC - beautifully done!

Those cards are gorgeous! I love how you used a painting you DID and a picture of you painting it AND used it on a card you made... Great idea! The doily and little sparkly are perfect additions... I also like how you blended the photograph in red... this is so pretty!

Lovely ATC! What a fun idea to use you own painting on the front! Putting a photo of you painting on the back is even more inspired! I like the blending and effects you used on the back photo.

I hope your Mom is recovering well from her broken hip.
