Project SG Challenge 2012, Week 35

Project SG Challenge 2012, Week 35

journaling:
Most of our energy this week was spent on tropical storm Isaac. We held a modified church service that day even though the chapel and all the windows were shuttered. The streets were eerily deserted. The ceramic ark in the children’s area seemed apropos! Dave & I had planned to place a rose on the altar to honor the birth of Zander, our new grandson, so instead we placed it in the social hall for the dozen or so attendees to see. We dedicated a hymn in his honor, “Child of Blessing, Child of Promise”. By the time we left for home it was raining pretty hard. Afterward, Dusty was just happy to sit in the mud and be glad that his Frisbees hadn’t blown away!

Looks like a great week. Well done on your LO.
Scary week but great that you documented it!
Interesting week, but sure glad you stayed safe! Your photos and journaling document the storm event. I love seeing your tiny new grandson even from afar and that Dusty is always a laugh! :)
