We quickly fell into summer mode. The boat came out of storage and we had meals of fresh crappies and sunnies. Once school was out I caught up with the girls for lunch at Penara’s. John and I spent an evening taking in Mankato’s walking sculpture tour and eating at a new restaurant called Number Four. Ken and Mary came in from Oregon and we had dinner with them, Rob and Anne at Whisky River with dessert at Dan and Christina’s. Mary took the group picture of us to send to the family in Ireland And we began a photo log of our back yard birding. We watched the baby Blue Birds grow and were saddened when baby Swallows fell prey to a raccoon. .
