Monday Challenge 10/22/12 - Books

Journaling: When I was a little girl finally able to read, I would spend time with my Grandmother reading some of the very books that my Mother had read as a child. I read the “Little House on the Prairie” series by Laura Ingalls Wilder, most often. I read those books over and over again, so many times that I lost count - but each time I loved them, and the time that I got to spend with my grandmother as we read in her library. When she passed away, my mother asked me what I wanted to keep from Grandmother’s home - and the most cherished thing I kept were those books that I had read as a child. I have passed that tradition down to my grandchildren.

A nicely done page and I really enjoyed your journaling. I love to read to my granddaughters. You have just inspired me to what I might do for this challenge ( thank you )

Very touching and sweet! I read that series too when I was 12, really loved it... I can see why you would read it over and over and why you would pass it on. Beautifully scrapped and I really love the way you always use a gorgeously made pin... I am starting to spot your trademarks!

This is so beautiful! I love the vertical and horizontal lines in your embellishments and the paper. Your stickpin and sewing thread are great! That was one of my favorite series when I was growing up also. Having books that belonged to previous generations feels like a real treasure to me. I love being able to pass them down too. Thanks for joining in this week's Monday challenge!
