We carpooled every day with Charley to preschool at the ISU Lab
School. Amy took you in the morning and I picked you up at lunchtime. You
always loved to play at the front of the building and on the steps when we left.
This day we all took turns throwing fall leaves up in the air, sliding down the “banister”
and you two played peek-a-bo and hide-and-seek around the sign. We all absolutely loved
this preschool! One day you were upset when I picked you up and you couldn’t tell me
why. This happened sometimes last year at your other school too and I just had to deal
with it myself.But this day teacher Amy came over and asked what was wrong. She
remembered the spiderweb you made with yarn between the chair legs and how
she took a picture of it before cleanup time. She asked if you
wanted to show me the picture. That’s all it took -
you were all smiles and proud of your
creation. 2010
