DSD Only in Digital

Well for starters - this page would not have been created were it not for digital! I was always attracted to scrapbooking but knew that the amount of supplies and space required to embark upon it seriously would be just too much for me to cope with. Digital allows me to be creative without the mess and using just the space that my computer takes up.

For this LO I was especially glad to be able to change the colours for my alpha to fit the colour scheme exactly;

move items around the page without fear of tearing the paper;

change the size, colour, font and even the wording of the journaling without having to write it all out again every time.

In addition I used

Paper that NEVER gets dog-eared

Fabric embellishments that never fray

Those are some of the same reasons I never got into paper scrapping! What a cute layout. I love that you included his version of roosters!

Great combination of digital elements! I like the zipper background, the photo blended into the bottom corner, the multicolored title to match the colors of the photos, your journaling, and the photo clustering. Very nice!

Cool zipped background and felty font. Your reasons for digital scrapbooking are the same as mine - I always like the idea of traditonal scrapbooking but there's nothing like geting up from your desk and flicking a switch and it's all cleaned-up!

Fun layout with great photos. I love that you blended one into the corner, too. I like your list of why this would only be a digital creation -- and I was picturing you painstakingly sewing a zipper onto a piece of paper. :lol:

Tee hee - can you imagine what a nightmare THAT would be!

Never thought about that, but editing your journaling without having to rewrite is a great feature of digital - you're so clever. Neat layout - Rowan looks like he's having a great time (I have to agree - the doodlers are always neat to see) and your wordart is great. Your round embellishment kind of looks like the chickens with the black & white feathers, too.
