Monday 11-5 Outdoor Celebration Challenge

Mardi Gras in New Orleans is celebrated for about two weeks before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of the Lenten season. It features daily parades and parties, though I don't think fire works are a part of the celebration. During the parades, people on the floats throw beads and trinkets to the crowd. We took these photos at the factory that makes decorations for the parade floats. I'm at the bottom right of the dragon float. TFL!

Oh my gosh! that dragon is much bigger than I thought. Love the colors and the festive look of your page. Those beads are the best!

Love this New Orleans theme. Great colors and bead curtain. I too am surprised at how large the floats are. Seems like a trip to definitely not miss!
