Here's my Week 44. Just about caught up!

Journaling reads:
"Sunday - lots of hurricane talk. GIrone's came for pizza & I made cabbage salad... Monday Hurricane Sandy hit NJ & our power went out early afternoon. It got cold pretty fast & no electric = no hot water or stove. Tuesday morning Karen & Debbie brought a carafe of boiled water & scrambled eggs! Encouraging to see our power lines being fixed - THANKS PA! But, sadly, no power... Wednesday walked to Girones to cook for mom. Later to Terry's overnight for warmth, a L - O - N - G adventurous drive. But, it's a safe, warm feeling having good friends & family. Halloween cancelled again... Late Thursday our power came on & Marc helped us inside. Amazing to see all the devastation but thankfully we were safe & ok... Saturday - SG chatted ALL DAY for NSD. Did some layouts, but missed a few chats - the week caught up with me & even computer-chatting was tiring..."

These two pages together are going to be so pretty...! Hard to imagine so much devastation and loss against such a pretty background... So scary to see the damage caused in your area and good to know you are safe and well... Love seeing your local photos of Sandy and the Stay Strong Jersey sign, it makes the page more personal... Is that Obama I can see? It looks like him walking on that beach/shore?? Hard for us to imagine how bad it must have been there for Halloween to be cancelled... the pumpkin man sure looks glum... :-( These lovely autumn toned pages will stand out in your book :-)

Wow, its good to SB the good, bad and the ugly!
I hope to do something like this for next year! Great job on getting these pages of your weeks done, Marilyn! Its a great slice of your life...I enjoy looking at them.

I like that you've included photos of the newspapers here, Marilyn - what devastation! I like your new format too and the arrangement of your photos - you make a busy page look so interesting! I enjoyed reading your journaling - sad though it may be, it was very well written and helpful to understand what you must have been going through. Excellent page!
