This photo started out very dark. Bethany was in a huge dark shadow. I extracted her, created a new layer via copy and used a screen blending mode. I did this again but reduced the second copy opacity so it was lighter but not too light. I then applied a filter to the background so it looks like a painting sort of. I applied a gradient to the foliage in the word art.
