This was a great challenge because it gave me the idea on how to make this dark and blurry photo look good using filters. I used paint daubs and lots of blending modes to get the effect I wanted.

Photo looks great to me! Not dark or blurry at all! I'm glad the challenge helped you find a way to make it useable. This is a lovely layout - I like the white mat border around the page and the balance between the photo and the embellishment cluster.
