Sat 11-17 beige-blue

Today's challenge asked us to choose colors we normally don't put together. I don't often use beige and blue together, though I thought they seemed right for these photos. I'm putting an albumn together of our recent trip to Italy. The finished size will be 8x11 (why couldn't they make it 8 1/2 x 11???), so I made some size adjustments to the products I used. I might change the journaling a bit, but here is a two-page spread that I've pretty much completed. TFL!

Journaling reads: From our hotel, we visited the Spanish Steps with its column (obelisk) of the Immaculate Conception. When we visited Trinita dei Monte Church, we heard the beautiful voices of French monks and nuns singing prayers for an adoration of the Eucharist. We also walked to the Trevi Fountain, which was crowded with tourists like us.

Gorgeous page! I like the blue and brown palette. I also especially like the blended background photo on the left and the black frames on the right. The frames really highlight your photos. The journaling and tag add a nice touch as well.

Beautiful pages Dianne. I love the palette you've chosen; it reminds of the sun. I can almost feel the warmth in stones from here!

Beautiful, Diane! The colors work wonderfully with these photos - you should use them more. Pretty border & I like the way you framed the photos.

Wonderful layout. Perfect colors; it captures the fabulous blue sky and the beige of the buildings and landmarks. I like the black framing for your photos - ties to the journaling frame and your tasteful black traveling outfit!
