"Helping the Shore"

This layout covers three challenges! I started with Thursday's "fast & easy" Challenge, altering the template color a bit, then added Wednesday's HNC "favorite recent photo". Finished with Monday's "This Makes Me Smile" as this was a real feel-good story. My cousin grew up in Highlands NJ which was devastated by Hurricane Sandy. She now lives in MA and when co-workers heard she was going to help clean-up they collected & donated so many items she packed her truck with barely room to sit! So much help was so willingly given it made me smile. :)

Journaling reads:

"Karen drove down from Massachusetts to the NJ shore after Hurricane Sandy. So many people in Needham donated items to help people in Highlands clean & rebuild that she arrived at our house with a packed truck & barely a space for her "Jersey Girl" teddy bear! A real "feel-good" story."

For this layout I used:

JRA Super 7 Spread

ASO SS Styles: Glitter 6401

Love your photo in the leaf shape and your title "What a Wonderful World" is perfect for your journaling! Kudos to your cousin for having such a big heart and I know she will treasure this layout that you've done so beautifully!

This photo - and your journaling - really capture Karen's spirit! She rolled up her sleeves and jumped in to help, and she brought smiles to a lot of people! I love the leaves here, especially the leaf frame. Great layout - and super journaling. And, good for you managing to include THREE challenges!

Love the way you adapted an Autumn page to work with your photos - the slightly cooler tones work well with your photo. Your cousin is a true wonder, how thoughtful and selfless of her to travel back to help clean up after Sandy, I am so pleased for you both that you managed to scrap this. It truly is a feel good story and deserved to be treated so carefully. Your leaf journalling and careful tweaking really make this page shine :-)
