Fri 12-07 Cust Challenge - Cars We've Owned (Sort of)

It turns out we don't seem to take pictures of our cars. I found two plus two more that were taken by my dear father of cars we liked but never actually owned. (There are more of those, too, LOL, but I'm saving them for future layouts.) Anyway, this was fun to put together, and the challenge gave me the push I needed to scan more old photos. TFL!
PS -- I seemed to have inherited my father's "take a picture of cars we like" genes; I found several I took recently in Europe of interesting sporty vehicles. Now I just need to take a picture of the actual car living in our own garage! :lol:

Love it Diane! Totally looks like those old sticky page albumns and the dating of the photos are perfect! Look at gorgeous you modeling your first car, great photo of DH & DS's with the second. The Not Ours photos are great choices too. I really enjoyed your journaling too!

Oh Diane - what an amazing page! I love how you made it to look like and old fashioned photo album and your photos are just wonderful! How sweet to see your boys so little and YOU, too! I really like the old fashioned typewriter font you used and your amazing journaling - how creative. Love your "vintage" embellishments, too. Super, super work - so much to look at and every piece of it is great.

Simply great! I've never really thought about taking photos of our cars. I suppose because I'm not particularly interested in them - as long as they have a wheel in each corner and one to steer with I'm happy. But your page has shown me they are a window on the past. I'm looking at them in a whole new light.

This is great Diane! Love they way you included a "not ours" cars! When I was in Europe (age 17) I took TONS of photos of cars...mainly Porsches

They were EVERYwhere! I like the way the book gives it a vintage feel to match the photos. I like the way you used the tape on the photos! Thanks for joining the challenge Diane!

Love the vintage cars. I enjoy looking at them. I work in our state's capital and there are several Porsches in the garage. Unfortunately not belonging to anyone I know. The gears are a nice choice of embellishment. The typewriter font adds to the vintage feel.
