Last year in Nov. one of our daughters called asking us to take her two girls- she was not able to care for them. Another daughter drove with me for 36 hours straight round trip drive to bring the girls home. We hadn't seen Leah since she was 3. We had no idea at the time that the girls were in the state's custody. The state of Calif. took the girls back right after Christmas until we could get them legally. Just a week ago we signed papers as part of the last process to adopt Leah and her sister. I feel like this Christmas they have truly come home.
