As some of you may remember we had my sister’s Siberian Huskie here at our home. He was one of the Flood Refugees here in Minot during our flood in 2011. She had just taken custody of him the day the Sirens sounded and the entire valley had to evacuate. He had not had a good life at his previous home, her neighbor... they paid no attention to him... Poor boy, so my sister asked to adopt him. We were blessed to have him in our lives for 14 months. He is now at the Rainbow Bridge running free as the wind as he was meant to do. We found out soon after we got him that he tested positive for Heart Worm. After much research and talking to many vets, etc. we decided we just could not put him through the awful treatment. Plus, Kodi did not do well at the Vets.....I think there must have been some trauma at a clinic or something because he got very aggressive when we took him for his shots… just another reason that we decided not to treat his heart worm. The only time we ever heard him growl or saw him aggressive like that was at the vets. We loved him and spoiled him, and made every day he had the best it could possibly be. In August we decided it was time to let him go as he was showing signs of problems. What an amazing boy he was… so VERY smart and so loving. He just loved hugs and kisses and snuggling. He became an indoor dog and his favorite place to be was the couch in the family room. We miss him terribly but feel sure that he is having a wonderful time running with no leash as far and fast as he wants... he thought everyone was a dog sled and he was in charge. I am so grateful to have known him... he enriched all our lives and I pray that we did the same for him. I miss him so very much!

What a lovely tribute page! Wonderful journaling and I really like that swirly thing, it adds such nice texture. Wonderful photos of your pup. I'm so sorry you had to loose him.

I'm so glad you had the time with Kodi and that you could give him a loving home after the trauma he endured elsewhere. This is a wonderful page - I love the rainbow and the angel wings and your description of Dog Heaven.

*hugs*
