I often ask the big boys to help William get his winter gear off and put it away in the laundry room. Each boy has his own two drawers. They are usually pretty good about doing it and William allows them to help. Now William knows how to take off his own hat and mittens and puts them in in his drawer all by himself sometimes. Once William didn’t want Michael to help him; he wanted Mama.
But I wanted M to know how much I appreciated his help, so I was all over him hugging and praising. William felt left out and came over for a group hug and then HE HELPED M take off HIS hat and put it away for HIM! So I went all out telling M what a good example he set and how W learned from him and that was way cool!
