On my sister's birthday, my mom and other sisters visit the cemetery to place flowers on Melanie's headstone. Christmas was her favorite holiday because she so loved gathering with family and friends. We would travel from Florida to greet a very anxious Auntie Mel -- anxious to see her little nephews. She left for heaven when my youngest was a baby and, unfortunately, didn't get to meet her other two nephews. She is their guardian angel in heaven. The boys always enjoy hearing stories about their "Auntie Mel" and love using baby wipes to polish her headstone on visits. This year, butterflies were added to the flower mix! Happy Birthday, Auntie Mel!
