I took this photo in Ballarat today, a regional town in Victoria not far from where Jo Corne lives. It depicts Alice in Wonderland and was taken at the Ballarat Fine Art Gallery.

Wow -- I love the perspectives here. Everything is a little "strange" like I just ate some kind of mushroom, so to speak. Wonderful and lively mix of colors and patterns. I especially like the game pieces -- and the buttons. Marvelously fantastical page!

What a wonderful painting! I really like the 3d way you've framed it. The chess boards and men are a great embellishment.

Just wonderful Jode and like Diane said - I sorta feel I've gone through the looking glass - wonderful how you were able to convey that feeling. I really like your beautiful photo and the way you framed it askew - just like Alice's world. I also really like how masterfully you put together the different pieces in your background. Just super.

Grrrr.. SO sorry - having trouble with my click button so apparently I clicked twice. But, I really do like this LO twice as nice.

PS I love how you managed to get in 13 embellishments without looking crowded or crazy.. Well, ok - that IS a part of Alice's world. Great work, Jode.

Great job with the perspective on the painting and frame and the color play of the black and white checkered background with the red and gold embellishments. Cool idea!
