Iluka: Near the Sea
Task #8
Iluka is an island in the Clarence River delta of Northern New South Wales. It is bordered by tranquil river waters and the restless surf of the Pacific Ocean. Its name is an Indigenous word meaning near the sea. It's sometimes used as a girl's name. December 2012.

Oh Eden, this is stunning! I was so pleased to see it is in Australia as I may get there someday haha... wonderful brushwork and blending... the photo is so tranquil and the soft yet dark colours add drama and interest... interesting journalling too :-)

I love the photograph and how you've separated it with the film mask, it adds interesting without distraction, and colours really 'pop' because of the purple background.
