I was inspired by this month's journalling chat to capture a funny christmas moment:
(Journalling)
Unable to contain himself any longer,
Zachary admitted on Christmas Eve
that he had noticed a gift under the tree
that was exactly the size and shape of a
Lego Lord of the Rings Wii game--
The object of his dearest Christmas wishes.
He could barely contain his glee as he
waited for Christmas morning to unwrap
his treasure.
...And Mom could not resist the opportunity
for a little prank! She carefully unwrapped
the little package, replacing the video game
with a Christmas DVD. She rewrapped the
game and placed it in a box, which she
wrapped an placed in another, and another,
and another!
On Christmas morning, Zachary graciously
accepted the Christmas movie betraying
not a hint of disappointment.
Later, we presented him with his “Big Gift,”
the contents of which delighted us all
five times over!
