January 17th we sweltered through a 112F day... so it was most refreshing and amusing to receive these pics from a dear friend in the States... now if they could only find a way to send TEMPERATURES across the net - we could have done with a bit of each others's weather that day!! Averaged out we would have had a 60F day I think... haha. Hence the title, Beautiful to me... I don't get snow where I live and I don't have to shovel it or walk through it or drive in it or any of the host of other things that make it ugly to people who do... to me it is still miraculous and beautiful :-). Plus it was super fun to make a page using my wintery/snowy feeling items... I don't usually get to use them much!!

I love the icy, frosty look to your page! Just looking at it should cool you off a bit. :D Seriously, black and white make a great color combo with today's freebie paper. It's lovely! And I like the way the added textures of lace and ribbon look with the bare branches. Beautiful page!!

PS - We don't get snow in my part of the States either, but I laughed at your description of the perfect 60 degrees, since we are not much warmer than that today. Wish I could teleport you for a day or two, LOL.

Super page, Jode and the photos look great in black and white. I really like the soft blue you used with them and the delicate snowflake-like doilies you used behind. A large photo background is so creative and looks so pretty. So does your fancy border, lace and ribbon. Lovely lovely layout.

My sentiments too. In Florida is lovely and warm but I do miss and dream about the beauty and muffled silence of the snow. Great use of the doilies and lace and I really like how you worked with the larger photo in creating the bordering through it. Love the B/W with the pretty blue. Beautiful.
