Journal: The final trip for our old construction van was to the scrap yard. A fire destroyed the van a few months ago and now it is time for the final voyage. January 21, 2013

Oh, man, this is so cool!! I'm sure you were sad to see your old faithful van hauled away, but you made a terrific layout from its photos! I love your title :lol: and the whole rusty, dirty, messy look to the page. Fabulous blending and a grat mix of patterns and embellishments, too. Love it!

Yes! I've been waiting to see this! Its a shame about the van (or more so about the contents) but since no one was hurt it does make for a great LO. I do love the title. Its good to see you have gotten some humor back into this situation. I also love the border, really ties it all together.

Frankly...the van wasn't worth anything...(I mean, it was worth a lot because of it's functionality and use and dependability!) Entire contents were lost and thankfully insurance quickly handled the claim. There was one item for our new house in there that was worth more than twice as much as the van!! LOL...it's funny when you think about it. Stuff that was lost, was just that, "stuff". When our DS loaded it up and brought it home (to our new house) the title came to me...Frankly, I was surprised at how much we got for that old thing. Rest in peace...you served us well. (I should have put that in the journalilng)

Love your title! Sad for your loss, for while stuff is just stuff, it also means something to the person 'attached' to the stuff. But what a great layout to make out of it! =)

I recall your posting about the fire in the van and you've done a great job bringing the story to conclusion. Great grungy feel and I too laughed at your witty title!

Ha, I love the title too, that's a great one! And I really like the grungy feel of the layout overall, it goes well with the subject matter. :)

I have pretty much all those kits! Never thought to use them together like this for a blokey layout... I think you did a wonderful job on your title, it truly looks like a series of rusted letters, and your choice of colours with the metals is perfect. Great grungy look frames and masks to add to the trashed feel of the page... sorry to see old faithful go, I too remember when you posted about this event, but without it we wouldn't be seeing thIs great layout. Silver linings :-)
